RUMOURS: Manchester United look closely at £55 million bid for Thomas Lemar

Manchester United have turned their attention towards Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar, according to the  Daily Record.

The Red Devils’ failure to lure Gareth Bale from Real Madrid and the ongoing difficulty in negotiations for Inter’s Ivan Perisic reportedly have forced a change of direction, and Lemar would cost the Premier League club €60 million.

Reports Manchester United are weighing up a move, but have been told to cough up £55 million by Monaco.

At the start of the summer, Jose Mourinho  had made it clear he wanted to strengthen in four areas — attack, central defence, defensive midfield and on the wing.

The France international has also been on the radar of United’s rivals Arsenal this summer…
