Chelsea are prepared to turn their attention to Paris Saint-Germain’s Grzegorz Krychowiak to bolster their midfield options, The Sun reports.
Antonio Conte’s side had been credited with a strong interest in Leicester’s Danny Drinkwater, but talks are said to have come to a standstill due to The Foxes demanding a £40 million fee.
As such, the Blues are ready to see if they can sign 27-year-old Poland international Krychowiak on a loan deal.
Krychowiak, 27, joined PSG from Sevilla on a five-year deal last summer but had a frustrating debut campaign in France, making only 11 appearances under Unai Emery in Ligue 1.
However Chelsea have been monitoring the Pole’s situation at the Parc des Princes and made contact with his representatives two weeks ago.
It’s understood the Premier League champions are checking on Krychowiak’s potential availability…
