With Europe’s premier club competition nearing the knockout stage,
Matchday six of the 2017-18 Champions League is underway and we now have a semi-completed field of teams that will progress from the group stage.
However, there are still four places left in the knockout stage that will be decided in the final set of fixtures on Wednesday.
Thirty-two teams will be whittled down to 16 for the second-round draw, which takes place shortly after the conclusion of the final group games.
As the composition of the knockout stage slowly becomes clear, here we take a look at everything you need to know.

The draw for the first round of the Champions League knock-out stage will take place on Monday, December 11 at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
